8 Stühle by Niels O. Møller // Teak Dining Chairs for J.L.

Rare set of eight original and authentic dining chairs designed by Niels O. Møller and produced by J.L. Møllers Møbelfabrik in Denmark: six Model 80 side chairs and two Model 65 armchairs. Both models were introduced in the late 1960s and are among the few designs by Møller featuring a fully upholstered backrest. Together they form a complete, harmonious dining set that combines exceptional comfort with a refined, sculptural silhouette.
Model 65 is considered one of the most sophisticated and exclusive designs in Møller's body of work. Its gently curved, sculptural armrests give the chair an almost architectural presence, making the armchairs a perfect choice for the heads of the table. All frames are crafted from solid teak, showcasing a warm tone, beautifully expressive grain, finely shaped joints and refined proportions.
All eight chairs have been professionally reupholstered in the same premium zebra-look fabric by Sahco/Kvadrat, one of Scandinavia's leading textile manufacturers, giving the set a cohesive appearance. The teak frames have been carefully restored, freshly oiled and structurally checked. The chairs are sturdy, comfortable and ready for immediate use. Thanks to their elegant rear view, the set works beautifully as freestanding dining chairs.
Condition: Very good vintage condition – professionally restored and reupholstered, with only minimal age-related wear. A rare collector's ensemble and an outstanding example of Danish modern design.
