Dieses originale Mid-Century Sofa im dänischen Design stammt aus den 1960er-Jahren und besticht durch seine fein gearbeiteten Details und ausgewogene Proportionen. Gefertigt aus massivem Teakholz, verkörpert es den charakteristischen skandinavischen Stil – funktional, zeitlos und hochwertig verarbeitet.
Die massiven, geschwungenen Armlehnen liegen angenehm in der Hand und verleihen dem Sofa eine organische Leichtigkeit. Die Rückenansicht mit vertikalen Holzstreben macht das Sofa zu einem echten Hingucker – auch frei im Raum platziert.
Die Sitzkissen mit originalem Federkern wurden überarbeitet und mit neuem Schaumstoff ummantelt. Der Bezug ist aus Hallingdal-Wollstoff von Kvadrat, entworfen von Nanna Ditzel – ein ikonischer Salt-and-Pepper-Stoff, der für seine Langlebigkeit und angenehme Haptik bekannt ist.
Das Sofa befindet sich in einem sehr schönen restaurierten Zustand, mit lediglich leichten altersbedingten Gebrauchsspuren in Form kleinerer Kratzer und Bestoßungen, vor allem an den Beinen. This original mid-century Danish sofa was crafted in the 1960s and stands out for its refined detailing and elegant proportions. Made from solid teak wood, it captures the essence of Scandinavian modernism – functional, timeless, and beautifully constructed.
The sculpted, solid teak armrests are smooth and tactile, while the vertical slatted backrest adds sculptural interest – making the sofa just as appealing from the back as from the front, ideal for open-plan spaces.
The cushions feature the original spring core, updated with new foam padding. Upholstered in Hallingdal wool fabric by Kvadrat, designed by Nanna Ditzel, the grey salt-and-pepper textile is an iconic Danish material celebrated for its durability and rich texture.

Gallery owner Kevin Siegert's collection features a wide selection of Danish and nordic hand-selected mid century furniture designs from the 1950s and 1960s but also 20th century furniture design classics from the Bauhaus era and the 70s and 80s from all over Europe. The pieces are meticulously inspected and, if necessary, expertly and lovingly restored.
